How do I write the page range?
Type page numbers and ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3, 7, 10-12. Pages count from 1 and the output keeps the order you typed, so 5, 1-2 gives a three-page PDF starting with page 5. A single number extracts a single page, and a backwards range like 3-1 reverses those pages.
Can I get every page as its own separate file?
Not in one pass. Each run produces one PDF containing the pages you listed, so to end up with several files you run the tool once per file — type 1-4, download, then type 5-9 and download again. The file you picked stays loaded between runs, so this is only a retype of the range.
Does this change or delete my original PDF?
No. The original file on your disk is never modified. The extracted pages are written into a brand-new document that arrives as a download named after the original with -pages added, so both versions sit side by side afterwards.
Why does my PDF not open here?
Password-protected PDFs cannot be read — remove the password in your PDF reader first, then try again. A file that is corrupt or is not really a PDF despite the extension will also be refused. In both cases the tool tells you which of the two happened and nothing is sent anywhere.
