Why convert screenshots to PDF at all?
Because a PDF is one file with an order. Ten screenshots of a booking, a bug, or a chat thread arrive as ten loose attachments that open in whatever order the recipient's mail client feels like; as a PDF they are pages 1 to 10, viewable everywhere, printable, and easy to file. Many portals — expense systems, complaint forms, court and visa uploads — also accept only PDF, not images, which is usually what brings people to this page.
Does converting reduce the quality of my PNGs?
No. The PNG data is embedded in the PDF byte-for-byte as it came off disk — no re-encoding, no scaling, no quality setting to worry about. Text in screenshots stays exactly as crisp as the original. The trade-off is size: the PDF weighs roughly the sum of the images in it, and this tool makes no attempt to shrink them.
What happens to transparent areas of a PNG?
The transparency is preserved inside the PDF itself, but PDF viewers draw pages on white, so transparent regions will look white on screen and in print. If you need them to appear as another colour, flatten the image onto that colour in an editor before converting.
Can I mix PNG and JPG files in one PDF?
Yes. Both formats are accepted together, and each image becomes one page at its own pixel dimensions, in the order shown in the list — use the arrow buttons to rearrange before creating the PDF. Other formats, including HEIC, WebP and GIF, are skipped; convert those to PNG or JPG first.
