Questions
Are my files uploaded or saved anywhere?
No, nothing is ever uploaded. The editing, merging, splitting and image conversion happen in JavaScript inside the tab you have open, using the pdf.js and pdf-lib libraries. Your files are read from disk into the browser's memory, processed there, and handed back to you as a download. This site has no upload endpoint and no database — you can confirm that by opening your browser's network panel while you use the tools. For the merge, split and image tools, closing the tab wipes everything. The one exception is the PDF editor: so a refresh doesn't lose your work, it keeps the open file and your edits in the browser's own storage on your device until you press Start over — they still never leave your machine, but on a shared computer press Start over when you finish.
Is there a file size or page limit?
No limit is set by the site, but everything has to fit in your browser's memory. On a normal laptop, documents up to roughly 100–200 MB merge without trouble. Very large scanned PDFs take a few seconds and can make the tab unresponsive while they process. If a big job fails, merge in two smaller batches.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes, in any current mobile browser, with the same limits as a laptop — the work happens on the device, so an older phone will be slower and will run out of memory sooner on very large files. The finished PDF lands in your usual downloads folder.
Do I need an account or a payment?
Neither. There is no sign-up, no email, no watermark and no daily cap. Ads are planned to help pay for hosting if they go live; the privacy page explains what that would mean for cookies.
